A local company bringing sustainably-minded & artisanal sauces, jams, pickled vegetables, spreads, zero-waste pestos and zero-waste vinegars that reflect the blended heritage and world culinary travels of a woman starting over. Provisions feature local or regional produce…come learn how you can enjoy the best of the season’s produce year ‘round! Please note: Due to increased glass prices, all jars are $9 as of October 1 and vinegars are $10. New or returning to the booth this week:
Jams: White Peach Roobios is inspired by our recipe maven’s adventures in South Africa, she has imported some Roobios (Red Bush Tea) to add an earthy berry flavor to NJ’s finest white peaches captured in a jar at the height of their season; Zero-Waste Peach Peel Jelly features NJ ‘s yellow peachiest delight, and is inspired by Amanda’s passion for reducing food waste.
Sauces: Frankenstein, our most popular seasonal flavor, is running low with only a few dozen jars left. This truly is our last run of the season as we are now out of green tomato season. Stock up if this has become a household staple!
Zero-Waste Vinegars: Roasted Garlic & Thyme features our signature roasted German red garlic and local fresh thyme. This elegant beauty will knock your socks off and is by FAR our most versatile pantry staple. Use it as a dressing for a salad or a sandwich; add it to your marinade for veggies or proteins; or splash some on your pizza! We even have a wild idea for using a tiny dash in a dirty martini…with extra olives!
Harissa Pickled Veggies: Harissa Pickled Carrots are going FAST so grab your jar while you can for all your holiday grazing boards. We have a lead on a final batch of PA orange carrots, but the current heirloom rainbows will be gone for the season once these remaining few dozen jars sell out. The baby french ones have already sold out!
Holiday Packages: You heard right…SHP has created a selection of Eco-Friendly Holiday Packages! Each one features 1-3 SHP jars, a weatherproof sticker, an artist designed recipe card, and a vintage British tea sized utensil for serving your jarred goodness (hand picked by your resident silver swoop himself). They are packed in biodegradable cellophane, upcycled berry boxes and shredded gift wrap, and tied with vintage sari silk, ribbon and twine. They are affordably priced at $25-35, and the recipient can return their jar to us for the usual discount.
*Succession Fermentory
Cash; Credit Cards
Succession Fermentory produces sour and farmhouse ales using locally grown and sourced ingredients. They will be bringing the following beers:
A Reverence for Rain (5.2%) – 9 month white wine barrel aged golden sour ale, brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts from Double Eagle Malt House (Huntingdon Valley, PA) and raw wheat from Silver Maple Farms (Cochranville, PA). Dry hopped with Mosaic hops. A puckering acidity reminiscent of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, with leading notes of lychee and pineapple.
Ana-Khronos (5.1%) – modern saison brewed with floor malted spelt and Pilsner malts. Fermented with a blend of our favorite saison strains from bootleg biology.
Levain (4.8%) – mixed culture fermented sour beer brewed with sourdough and whole grain breads from Big Sky Bread (Wilmington, DE) and floor malted pilsner and rye malts from Deer Creek Malthouse (Glen Mills, PA). Bread contributes a touch of salinity, a soft full texture, and toasty background flavors to the ale.
Piedmont (4.5%) – American pale ale brewed with floor malted barley, wheat and oat malts. Dry hopped with centennial and chinook.
Sheaf & Shield V (4.8%) – decoction mashed Pilsner dry hopped with Loral hops.
